​​Tierra De Lobos overview

​TDL is a spanish action/drama that takes place in 19th centuray spain. Antonio Lobo, the big bad wolf, is the land owner of the town. Hence the play on words "Land of Wolves." He has four daughters: Almuenda, Nieves, Isabel, and Rosa. Lobo, being a traditional 19th century guy is a very domineering aristocrat and father interfering with anything going on in the town including all aspects of his daughters lives.

 

Cristina

All through season one, Cristina was Senor Lobo's prostitute. He wouldn't let her be with anyone else. Therefore, as a prostitute/kept woman, she was in a pretty good position. Unfortunately, Cristina is mostly in the background seen lounging around the brothel while the other girls work.

Isabel

​This whole season, we see Isabel as a firecracker and constantly loyal to her sisters. She repeatedly finds ways to do what she wants. She is described as not being interested in men and dreams of inheriting the Lobo estate so she won't have to get married and leave. However, a few times you see her vulnerable and unsure side. The side of her that tries to figure out her place in the world.

Temperado/Season 1 recap

In my opinion the best Isabel scene in this season is from ep 8 with only 14 minutes to go. In this scene, she goes to the brothel and gets drunk with Aníbal. She checks out a prostitutes boobs and has a small emotional freak out in by way of making her best guy friend (Aníbal) kiss her. This is also one of the rare times you get to see relaxed and having fun. Isabel should drink more often.
